HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law No. 2010-081 THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW NO. 2010-081 A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF A MUTUAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM AND THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AYLMER THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CENTRAL ELGIN THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF DUTTON/DUNWICH THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF WEST ELGIN THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHWOLD THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF ST. THOMAS THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MALAHIDE THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN WHEREAS the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. E. 9 provides that the Council of a municipality may make an agreement with another municipality for the provision of any personnel, service, equipment or material during a declared Emergency; AND WHEREAS the parties wish to provide for mutual aid and assistance to each other through the provision of personnel, services, equipment or material to one or the other during a declared Emergency within the meaning of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act; AND WHEREAS the parties have Emergency Plans pursuant to the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it necessary and expedient to enter into a Mutual Assistance Agreement with area municipalities. NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT the Municipality of Bayham enter into a Mutual Assistance Agreement in the form affixed hereto and market Schedule "A" between the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham and the Corporation of the City of St.Thomas, Corporation of the Municipality West Elgin, Corporation of the Town of Aylmer, Corporation of the Municipality of Central Elgin, Corporation of the Municipality of Dutton/Dunwich, Corporation of the Township of Southwold, Corporation of the Township of Malahide and the Corporation of the County of Elgin; 2. THAT the Mayor be authorized and directed to execute the said agreement on behalf of the Municipality of Bayham; 3. THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
