BY-LAW NO. 2009-011
A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION
OF A PROMOTIONAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM
AND
THE CANADIAN MUSEUMS ASSOCIATION
TO CREATE AND CONDUCT A CONSUMER PROMOTION
(THE"PROMOTION")
WHEREAS Section 11 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 as amended, provides that a lower
tier municipality may pass by-laws respecting Culture,parks,recreation,and heritage;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham is desirous of
entering into promotion agreements with the Canadian Museums Association on behalf of the Port
Burwell Marine Museum and Historic Lighthouse and the Edison Museum of Vienna, being Museums
Bayham participants;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute the Agreements attached
hereto as Schedule "A" (Port Burwell Marine Museum and Historic Lighthouse) and Schedule
"B" (Edison Museum of Vienna) and forming part of this by-law, between the Corporation of
the Municipality of Bayham and the Canadian Museums Association for participation in the
"Promotion";
2. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 5TH DAY OF
FEBRUARY 2009.
