HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law No. 2008-112 THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW NO.2008-112 A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE ACQUISTION OF REAL PROPERTY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM DESCRIBED AS PART OF LOTS 1 AND 12,BLOCK B, REGISTERED PLAN 205,DESIGNATED AS PARTS 1 AND 2 ON PLAN 11R-9004 WHEREAS Section 8 of the Municipal Act,2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, as amended,provides that a municipality has the capacity,rights,powers,and privileges of a natural person for the purpose of exercising its authority under this or any other Act. AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham is desirous of acquiring property for the purpose of a one foot reserve abutting Chapel Street; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham deems it necessary to approve the acquisition by by-law; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT the Council of the Municipality of Bayham hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and Clerk to execute such documents as may be necessary to provide for the acquisition of real property from Gordan and Mindy Tait,being part of Lots 1 and 12 Block B,Registered Plan 205,Designated as Parts 1 and 2 on Plan 11R-9004. 2. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
