BY-LAW NO. 2008-110
A BY-LAW TO REPEAL CERTAIN BY-LAWS PASSED BY
THE FORMER TOWNSHIP OF BAYHAM
WHEREAS Section 11 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 as amended provides that a
lower tier municipality may pass by-laws respecting Highways, including parking and traffic on
highways;
AND WHEREAS Section 8 of the Municipal Act, 2001, 5.0. 2001, c.25 as amended provides that
a municipality has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person for the purpose of
exercising its authority under this or any other Act.
AND WHEREAS by the former Township of Bayham adopted certain by-laws regarding land
acquisition, easements, and works agreement with Soreny Farms Limited and Christine Michele
Szorenyi.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham has adopted new by-laws regarding
the subject land acquisition and easements with Soreny Farms Limited and Christine Michele
Szorenyi, and deems it necessary and expedient to repeal certain by-laws adopted by the former
Township.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT By-law 96-27, enacted May 16, 1996 by the former Township of Bayham,being a
By-law to acquire land comprising Part of Lot 124, Concession NTR and Designated as
Parts 1, 3, 5 and 6 on Plan 11R-5215 and Part 1 on Plan 11R-6242 for the purpose of road
widening,be and the same is hereby repealed.
2. AND THAT By-law 96-28, enacted May 16, 1996 by the former Township of Bayham,
being a By-law assume Parts 1, 3, 5 and 6 on Plan 11R-5215 and Part 1 on Plan 11R-
6242 as part of a public highway,be and the same is hereby repealed.
3. AND THAT By-law 97-54, enacted December 18, 1997 by the former Township of
Bayham, being a by-law to authorize the Reeve and Clerk to enter into an easement
agreement with Christine Michele Szorenyi for irrigation and drainage purposes, be and the
same is hereby repealed.
4. AND THAT By-law 97-55, enacted December 18, 1997 by the former Township of
Bayham, being a by-law to authorize the Reeve and Clerk to enter into an easement
agreement with Soreny Farms Limited for irrigation and drainage purposes,be and the same
is hereby repealed.
5. AND THAT By-law 97-56, enacted December 18, 1997 by the former Township of
Bayham, being a by-law to authorize the Reeve and Clerk on behalf of the Corporation of
the Township of Bayham to enter into an agreement with Soreny Farms Limited and
Christine Michele Szorenyi for various works,be and the same is hereby repealed.
6. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 20th
DAY OF NOVEMBER,2008.
