By-law No. 2007-116 THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW 2007-116 A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO.2002-98,BEING A BY-LAW TO ADOPT A NON-UNION PERSONNEL POLICY WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham passed By-Law No. 2002-98 to adopt a personnel policy for non-union employees December 19th,2002; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it necessary and expedient to amend by-law 2002-98, as amended, to reflect changes to the staff organization and amend provisions regarding Short-Term Disability. NOW THEREFORE THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT subsection 2.2 under the heading "Short-Term Disability" of the said Non- Union Personnel Policy be and the same is hereby amended by deleting therefrom "Each separate period of absence, of any duration, will be treated as a new absence for purposes of short-term disability" and inserting therefore the following: "Separate periods of disability occurring under this benefit will be considered one period if: • They result from the same or related causes and are separated by a period of six consecutive months or less during which the employee returned to active employment; or a They result from entirely unrelated causes and are separated by a period of less than one full day during which the employee returned to active employment." 2. THAT Schedule "A-1" of the said Non-Union Personnel Policy be and the same is hereby repealed, and replaced Schedule "A-1" affixed hereto and forming part of this by-law. 3. THAT the Municipality of Bayham Staff Organization Chart, forming part of the Non-Union Personnel Policy, be and the same is hereby repealed, and replaced with the Organizational Chart affixed hereto and forming part of this by-law. 4. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing. READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 20-ni DAY OF DECEMBER,2007.
