BY-LAW NO.2007-072
A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN IN RIGHT OF ONTARIO
as represented by the Minister of Agriculture,Food and Rural Affairs
and
THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM
WHEREAS Section 9 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended, provides that a
municipality has the capacity, rights, powers, and privileges of a natural person for the purpose of
exercising its authority under this or any other Act;
AND WHEREAS the Municipality of Bayham is undertaking a special project to document
tangible capital assets and prepare a long-term asset management plan;
AND WHEREAS the Municipality of Bayham applied wider the Canada-Ontario Municipal Rural
Infrastructure Fund(COMRIF) for funding assistance for such project;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham is desirous of entering into an
agreement with HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN IN RIGHT OF ONTARIO, as represented by the
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for the provision of funding support under the
Canada-Ontario Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund Program to the Municipality of Bayham.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute the Agreement
attached hereto as Schedule "A" and forming part of this by-law with HER MAJESTY
THE QUEEN IN RIGHT OF ONTARIO, as represented by the Minister of Agriculture,
Food and Rural Affairs and the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham for
participation in the Canada-Ontario Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund Program.
2. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 19TH DAY
OF JULY 2007.
