BY-LAW NO. 2007-038
A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION
OF A CONTRACT AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM
AND
VILNIS DESIGN WORKS
TO PREPARE AN EDISON MUSEUM OF VIENNA
NEW FACILITY FEASIBILITY STUDY
WHEREAS Section 11 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 as amended provides that a
lower tier municipality may pass by-laws respecting Culture,parks,recreation, and heritage;
AND WHEREAS The Department of Canadian Heritage under the Cultural Spaces Canada
program has provided funding to prepare an Edison Museum of Vienna New Facility Feasibility
Study;
AND WHEREAS the Municipality of Bayham issued a Request for Proposals on behalf of the
Edison Museum of Vienna Building Committee to undertake the preparation and production of a
New Facility Feasibility Study, and has accepted the proposal submitted by Vilnis Design
Works;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham is desirous of
entering into an agreement with Vilnis Design Works to prepare a New Facility Feasibility Study
for the Edison Museum in accordance with their proposal dated October 16,2006.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute the Agreement
attached hereto as Schedule "A" and forming part of this by-law, between the
Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham and Vilnis Design Works being a contract
agreement for the preparation and production of an Edison Museum of Vienna New
Facility Feasibility Study for the Municipality of Bayham.
2. THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 5TH DAY
OF APRIL 2007.
