A By-Law to appoint Livestock Valuer&
Set Remuneration for Services Rendered
WHEREAS the Livestock, Poultry and Honey Bee Protection Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. L.24 states
that the Council of every municipality shall appoint one or more persons as valuers of livestock
and poultry for the purposes of the Act;
AND WHEREAS a Municipality may appoint employees as may be necessary for the
purposes of the corporation or for carrying into effect any Act or the Legislature or By-law
and for fixing their remuneration and prescribing their duties;
NOW THEREFORE THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
BAYHAM HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Scott Gregson (the appointee) be appointed as Livestock Valuer for the
Municipality of Bayham, and shall be responsible for administering the provisions of the
Livestock, Poultry and Honey Bee Protection Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. L.24.
2. THAT remuneration for the appointee is set at Forty ($40.00) Dollars per call and $0.35
per kilometre for travel expenses.
3. THAT the appointee agrees to supply all items and equipment necessary to carry out his
duties.
4. THAT Section #17 of By-law #2002-003 and any other By-law relating to the
appointment of Livestock Valuers be and same are hereby repealed.
5. Effective Date:
This By-law comes into force on the day it is passed.
