HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law No. 2003-046 THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW 2003-046 A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO.2002-98,BEING A BY-LAW TO ADOPT A NON-UNION PERSONNEL POLICY WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham passed By-Law No. 2002-98 to adopt a personnel policy for non-union employees December 196,2002; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it necessary and expedient to amend by-law 2002-98 to implement changes to the policy as approved by Council resolution April 17,2003; l NOW THEREFORE THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT Section 2.6 of the said Non-Union Personnel Policy be and the same is hereby repealed, and replaced with the following: "Extended Health Care Plan Single or family coverage to include drugs (mandatory generic substitutes unless otherwise directed by physician), semi-private hospital, ambulance service, nursing, out of province coverage, chiropractic coverage, hearing aids, and message therapy (commencing Jan 1, 2005). Premiums to be paid 100%by employer." 2. THAT Section 2.7 of the said Non-Union Personnel Policy be and the same is hereby repealed, and replaced with the following: "Vision Single or family coverage, of$175 ($225 commencing Jan 1, 2004) toward the cost of eyeglasses and/or contact lenses not more than once every 24 months. Premiums to be paid 100%by employer." 3. THAT Section 2.8 of the said Non-Union Personnel Policy be and the same is hereby repealed, and replaced with the following: "Dental Plan Single or family coverage, Plan 9 or equivalent at current Ontario Dental Association Fee Guide. Orthodontic coverage for dependant children under the age of 19 (50% reimbursement up to $2,000 per year). Premiums paid 100%by employer." 4. THAT Schedule "A-1" of the said Non-Union Personnel Policy be and the same is hereby repealed, and replaced Schedule "A-1" (Salary Grid 2003) affixed hereto and forming part of this by-law, and such schedule shall be effective January 1, 2003. 5. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing. READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 15TH DAY OF MAY 2003.
