BY-LAW NO.2003-043
BEING A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR APPOINTMENT
TO FILL THE VACANCY OF COUNCILLOR WARD 1
FOR THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM
WHEREAS in accordance with Section 262.1 of the Municipal Act 2001 S.O., Chapter 25 as
amended, the Council of the Municipality of Bayham, at its meeting held March 27, 2003, declared
the seat of Ward 1 Councillor to be vacant;
AND WHEREAS the Municipal Act provides that a municipal council may fill the vacancy by
appointment or alternatively by by-election;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham is desirous to fill the vacancy by
appointment;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Bayham, in
accordance with Section 263 of the Municipal Act 2001 S.O., Chapter 25 as amended, hereby
appoints Kenneth C. Emerson to the position of Councillor Ward 1 for the remainder of the current
term ending November 30, 2003.
AND THAT this by-law shall come into force and take effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST,SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 1sT DAY
OF MAY 2003.
