HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law No. 2003-012 CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW NO.2003-012 A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO.2001-111,BEING A BY-LAW FOR THE REGULATION OF TRAFFIC WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 210 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter M.45, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, the Council of the Municipality of Bayham did pass By-Law No. 2001-111 December 6, 2001 for the regulation of traffic; AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 11 (2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001 c.25, a lower tier municipality may pass by-laws respecting matters with the spheres of jurisdiction described in the Table to this section; AND WHEREAS the said Table authorizes a lower tier municipality to pass by-laws regulating parking and traffic on highways; AND WHEREAS Set Fines have been established by By-Law No.2001-111 and approved pursuant to the Provincial Offences Act AND WHEREAS the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.32 provides that municipalities must increase the minimal penalty for misuse of designated parking under municipal by-laws to $300.00 NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham enacts as follows: 1. THAT Schedule"F" of By-Law No. 2001-111, Item 39 be amended to indicate N/A for Early Voluntary Payment and to increase the Set Fine for Parking in a Designated Disabled Person Parking Space to $300. 2. THAT this By-Law shall come into force and take effect upon written approval of the Ministry of the Attorney General. READ a first and second time this 6th day of February 2003. 1/4Z7rirN etn`c.
