BY-LAW 2002-044
BEING A BY-LAW TO APPOINT
AN ACTING CLERK AND A DEPUTY CLERK FOR THE
MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM
WHEREAS Subsection 73 (1)the Municipal Act,R S.O., 1990 Chapter,M.45, as
amended,provides in part that the Council shall appoint a Clerk;
AND WHEREAS Subsection 73 (2) the said Municipal Act provides that the Council may
appoint a deputy clerk who shall have all the powers and duties of the clerk under this and
every other Act;
AND WHEREAS Subsection 73 (3) the said Municipal Act provides that when the office
of clerk is vacant or the clerk is unable to carry on his or her duties through illness or
otherwise, the Council may appoint a temporary acting clerk who shall have all the powers
and dories of the clerk under this and every other Act;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham deems it expedient to
appoint an Acting Clerk and Deputy Clerk;
NOW THEREFORE THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
BAYHAM HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Michael Graves be hereby appointed to the position of Acting Clerk for
the Municipality of B ayham.
2. THAT Margaret Underhill be hereby appointed to the position of Deputy Clerk for
the Municipality ofBayham.
Read a first, second time and third time and finally passed this 6th day of June 2002.
