HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law No. 2001-117 CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW NO. 2001 - 117 A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE ERECTION OF STOP SIGNS AT INTERSECTIONS WHEREAS Section 137 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990 Chapter H.8 permits municipalities to pass by-laws to provide for the erection of stop signs at intersections on highways under its jurisdiction; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham has identified locations within its jurisdiction where the erection of stop signs are deemed necessary; THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT stop signs shall be erected at the locations described below: Intersection Stop Sign Erected On Direction of Travel Black Bridge Line at Black Bridge Line (Southwest corner) Eastbound Toll Gate Road Toll Gate Road at Howey Line Toll Gate Road(Southeast corner) Northbound Soper Road at Light Line Soper Road(Southeast corner) Northbound Stewart Road at Sandytown Road Stewart Road(Southwest corner) Eastbound Creek Road at Light Line Creek Road(Southeast corner) Northbound Barzo Road at Carson Road Barzo Road(Northwest corner) Southbound Schafer Road at Eden Line Schafer Road(Southeast corner) Northbound Alward Street at Heritage Line Alward Street(Southeast corner) Northbound Ball Line at Stewart Road Ball Line(Northeast corner) Westbound Woodworth Road at Woodworth Road(Northwest corner) Southbound McQuiggan Line 2. THAT the penalties provided in Section 214 of the Highway Traffic Act shall apply to offences against this by-law. 3. THAT each designation made by Section 1 shall not become effective until stop signs have been physically erected in accordance with the regulations of the Highway Traffic Act.
