BY-LAW 2001-110
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 2001-94,A BY-LAW
TO REGULATE AND CONTROL DOGS
AND WHEREAS Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham did by
By-law#2001-94 pass a by-law to regulate and control dogs;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality
of Bayham now deems it necessary to amend By-law#2001-94;
NOW THEREFORE THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT By-law 2001-94 be amended by deleting the wording in
Section 4.1 and Section 4.2 and same be replaced by the following:
4.1 All persons must obtain a kennel licence from the Corporation before
operating a kennel of dogs.
4.2 All applications for kennel licences shall be accompanied by the following
information:
(a) Name and address of kennel owner;
(b) Type of bred or purebred dogs housed,boarded,bred or raised;
(c) Location of kennel;
(d)Proof of approved site specific zoning to provide for kennel use for said
location.
(e) Applicable fee.
2. THAT By-law 2001-94 be amended by adding the following clause:
"5.9 (c) Notwithstanding Subsection 5.9 (a), any person keeping three (3)
licenced dogs on a premises within a designated hamlet or village area as at
the date of passage of By-law No. 2001-94, shall be permitted to continue
keeping such licenced dogs, but shall not be permitted to keep any additional
or newly licenced dogs on the premises. At such time as a licence for any of
the subject dogs is not continued, such person shall be subject to Section 5.9
(a)."
READ a first and second time this 6th day of December, 2001.
READ a third time and finally passed this 6th day of December, 2001.
