A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW 99-83
A BY-LAW TO ADOPT A MUNICIPAL ALCOHOL POLICY
WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham recognizes the need for a clear and concise
policy concerning alcohol management in regard to municipal owned facilities and properties;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham did by By-law 99-83 adopt a
Municipal Alcohol Policy;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham now deems it
necessary to amend By-law 99-83;
AND WHEREAS Council deems it advisable that the amendments to the Municipal Alcohol
Policy be adopted by by-law;
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Municipal Alcohol Policy attached as Schedule "A" to By-law 99-83 be amended as
follows:
1. THAT the Municipal Alcohol Policy Committee consist of the Straffordville Fire
Station Chief or alternate, the Port Burwell Fire Station Chief or alternate, the
Bayham and Vienna Community Centres Managers, one administrative staff
member and one member of Council;
2. THAT the Committee review the Policy on an annual basis and recommend any
changes to the Policy to Council;
3. THAT errors in the Policy be corrected as follows:
(a) Page 5, Objectives, Section 1 —the word "Town"be replaced with the
word "Municipality',
(b) Page 28, Section 14—the words "event worker"be replaced with the
word "representative";
4. THAT all other terms and conditions of the said Policy be and are hereby confirmed;
5. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 1sT DAY
OF NOVEMBER 2001.
