MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM
BY-LAW NO.2001-31
BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR
AND CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CORPORATION OF
THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM AND
THE CITY OF ST. THOMAS FOR THE PROVISION
OF EMERGENCY DISPATCH SERVICES.
WHEREAS Section 2.(5)of the Fire Prevention and Public Safety Act authorizes municipalities to
enter into agreements with other municipalities for the provision of such fire protection services as
may be specified in the agreement;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham at its meeting
held January 5, 1998 passed By-law 98-07 to enter into an Agreement with the City of St. Thomas
for the provision of Emergency Dispatch Services for a three year period commencing March 1,
1998;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham deems it expedient to execute an
agreement for a further three year period commencing March 1,2001;
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
Agreement dated October 24,2000 attached hereto as Schedule"A"and forming part of this
By-law between the City of St. Thomas and the Municipality of Bayham for the provision of
Emergency Dispatch Services for a three year period commencing March 1,2001.
2. THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
3. THAT By-law 98-07 be hereby repealed.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME this 22a day of March 2001.
READ A'THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED this 22nd day of March 2001.
