HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law No. 2000-072 CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW NO.2000-72 A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PITT STREET IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC WHEREAS: 1. Paragraph 44 of Section 207 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O.1 990, chapter M.45, provides in part that By-laws may be passed by the Councils of all Municipalities for closing to vehicular traffic on a temporary basis, for such period as shall be placed in the by-law, any highway under the jurisdiction of the Council for such social, recreational, community, athletic, or cinematographic purpose as may be specified in the by-law. 2. The Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it necessary and expedient to pass a by-law to close a portion of Pitt Street in the Municipality of Bayham to vehicular traffic for the purpose of events for the Trans Canada Relay Celebrations. NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT Pitt Street,from the intersection of Robinson Street easterly to its intersection with Erieus Street, in the Municipality of Bayham,be and the same is hereby closed to vehicular traffic for the purposes of the Trans Canada Relay Events,on the following dates and times: i) Saturday August 12th, 2000 from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ii) Sunday August 13th, 2000 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. iii) Thursday August 17th, 2000 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 2.
