HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law No. 2000-065 CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW NO. 2000—65 A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT'S PARTICIPATION IN THE COUNTY EMERGENCY FIRE SERVICE PLAN AND PROGRAM WHEREAS Paragraph 25 of Section 210, Chapter 302 of The Municipal Act, RSO 1980, authorizes the councils of local municipalities to adopt and participate in an emergency fire service plan and program. THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT the Municipality of Bayham Fire Department be authorized to leave the limits of the municipality or fire area, at the discretion of the Chief or his/her designee and under the direction of the Elgin County Fire Coordinator, (District Deputy Fire Marshal) to respond to calls for assistance from other municipal fire departments authorized to participate in the Elgin County Mutual Aid Plan or any other Regional,District or County Emergency Fire Service Plan and Program on a reciprocal basis. 2. In case the provisions of this by-law conflict with the provisions of any other by-law, the provisions of this by-law shall prevail. 3. The former Village of Port Burwell By-law No. 192, former Village of Vienna By-law No. 96-05 and former Township of Bayham By-law No. 1333 providing for participation in Elgin County Mutual Aid are hereby rescinded.
