BY-LAW 99-52
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 98-08,AS AMENDED,
A BY-LAW TO APPOINT MUNICIPAL
OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES FOR THE
MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM
WHEREAS Sections 72, 73, 77, 85 and 207 of the Municipal Act,R.S.O., 1990 Chapter,
M.45,as amended,permits municipalities to pass by-laws appointing officers and
employees as may be necessary for the purposes of the Corporation;
AND WHEREAS by resolution dated July 8, 1999 Council of the Municipality of
Bayham accepted the resignation of Lynn S. Buchner, Administrator/Treasurer for the
Municipality of Bayham effective July 16, 1999, creating a vacancy in the statutory
position of Treasurer,and in the position of Deputy Clerk;
AND WHEREAS Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham did by By-law 98-08
appoint officers and employees for the purposes of the Corporation;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham did by By-law 98-27 amend
By-law 98-08;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayharn now
deems it necessary to further amend By-law No. 98-08;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham,under Section 77(3)deems
it expedient to appoint a Temporary Treasurer;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham,under Section 73(2)deems
it expedient to appoint a Deputy Clerk;
NOW THEREFORE THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
BAYHAM HEREBY ENACTS THAT BY-LAW NO. 98-08 BE FURTHER
AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
THAT under Section 1.1 the Office/Position of Administrator/Treasurer &
Deputy Clerk,the words Administrator I Treasurer&Deputy Clerk, and the
Name of Employee Lynn S Buchner be deleted;
AND THAT the Office/Position (a) Temporary Treasurer be inserted;
AND THAT the name Suzanna Mantel be inserted;
AND THAT Suzanna Mantel fulfil the position of Temporary Treasurer
subject to the contract for temporary fmancial services as authorized by By-
law 99-51.
AND THAT the Office 1 Position (b)Deputy Clerk be added;
AND THAT the Name of Employee Maureen Beatty be added.
Read a first, second time and third time and finally passed this 15th day of July,
1999.
