BY-LAW NO. 99-28
BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE
THE MAYOR AND CLERK TO SIGN
THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
Regarding a Joint Board of Management to govern
the Elgin Area Primary Water Supply System
WHEREAS the Municipality of Bayham shares with other municipalities in the provision of
water by the Elgin Area Primary Water Supply System;
AND WHEREAS ownership interest to the System will be transferred jointly pursuant to a
Transfer Order that will be made by the Ministry of the Environment under the Municipal Water
and Sewer Transfer Act, 1997;
AND WHEREAS Council of the Municipality of Bayham deems it expedient to enter into an
agreement regarding a Joint Board of Management for the said System;
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute a Memorandum of
Understanding, as attached hereto and forming part of this By-law;
2. THAT this By-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME this 1st day of APRIL, 1999.
READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED this 1st day of APRIL, 1999.
