BY-LAW NO.98-96
BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND
ADMINISTRATOR/TREASURER TO EXECUTE A LIBRARY LEASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MUNICIPALITY AND THE
CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 26, subsection 2, Chapter P. 44 of the Public Libraries Act,
R.S.D. 1990, as amended, the council of a municipality may enter into an agreement to provide
accommodation to a County Library Board;
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham is desirous of entering into an
agreement to renew the Standard Elgin County Library Lease to provide facilities for library
purposes in Port Burwell,with the County of Elgin;
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Lease Agreement attached hereto and forming part of this By-law between
the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham and the County of Elgin, for property
described as Part Lot 16, # 21 Pitt Street, One Fourth Market Square, Port Burwell,
Municipality of Bayham, is hereby approved.
2. AND THAT the Mayor and Administrator/Treasurer be hereby authorized to execute the
attached Lease Agreement on behalf of the Corporation.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME this 19th day of November, 1998.
READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED this 19th day of November, 1998.
