BY-LAW NO.98-59
BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CLERK
TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
MUNICIPALITY AND DAN MINERS FOR THE LEASE
OF ELECTRICITY SERVICE AT CONCESSION 1, LOT 12, EAST PIER,
METER J796265, IN THE VILLAGE OF PORT BURWELL,
MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM, COUNTY OF ELGIN
WHEREAS pursuant to the Short Forms of Leases Act,the Landlord and Tenant Act and
Amendments,Dan Miners has offered to lease electricity service from Meter J796265 currently
servicing the Municipality in order to connect to and utilize hydro electric power for tugs that
will be docked along the East Pier;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham and Dan
Miners have reached an agreement setting out the terms and conditions of the lease.
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Agreement attached hereto and forming part of this By-law between
the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham and Dan Miners setting out the terms and
conditions for Dan Miners to lease electricity service at Concession 1, Lot 12, East`Pier,
Meter J796265, in the Village of Port Burwell, Municipality of Bayham, County of Elgin
is hereby approved.
2. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be hereby authorized to execute the attached agreement
marked as Schedule "A" on behalf of the Corporation.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIlVIE this 2nd day of JULY, 1998.
READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED this 2" day of JULY, 1998.
