BY-LAW NO. 98-54
A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF LAND
COMPRISING PART OF LOT 126 AND 17, PLAN 205, 13
THIRD STREET, STRAFFORDVILLE AND FURTER
DESCRIBED AS PART 1 ON REFERENCE PLAN 11R 6836
WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham has determined land is required to
maintain access to a right-of-way connecting Third Street to Heritage Line in the Hamlet of
Straffordville, Municipality of Bayham;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham made an offer of One thousand
dollars($1,000.00)to Penelope Van Rietvelde for the purchase of Part of Lot 126 and 17,Plan 205,
13 Third Street in the Hamlet of Straffordville, and further described as Part 1 on Reference Plan
11R 6836;
AND WHEREAS Penelope Van Rietvelde has accepted the offer of the Municipality of Bayham
to close on June 30, 1998;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham deems it necessary to approve the
aforesaid purchase by by-law.
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICPALITY OF
BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Council of the Municipality of Bayham authorize the Mayor and Clerk to
execute such documents as may be necessary to provide for the purchase of property at Part
Lots 126 and 17, Plan 205, 13 Third Street in the Hamlet of Straffordville, and further
described as Part 1 of Reference Plan 11R-6836 from Penelope Van Rietvelde.
2. THAT the purchase price be One Thousand Dollars($1,000.00)payable on June 30, 1998.
3. THAT said Agreement of Purchase and Sale is attached hereto as Schedule "A" and forms
part of this By-law.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME this 4th day of June, 1998.
READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED this 4th day of June, 1998.
