BY-LAW NO. 98-08
BEING A BY-LAW TO APPOINT MUNICIPAL
OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES FOR THE
MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM
WHEREAS Sections 72, 73, 77, 85 and 207 of the Municipal Act,R.S.O., 1990 Chapter,M.45, as
amended permits municipalities to pass by-laws appointing officers and employees as may be
necessary for the purposes of the Corporation;
AND WHEREAS the Transition Board for the Municipality of Bayham at its meeting held September
22nd, 1997 adopted the Organization Chart for the Municipality of Bayham;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it appropriate
to appoint municipal officers and employees for the purposes of the Corporation.
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the following officers and employees be and are hereby appointed to act in the capacity
provided in the Municipality of Bayham and that all statutory duties contained in the Revised
Statutes of Ontario,R.S.O. associated with each position and the approved job descriptions are
to be fulfilled:

2. THAT all Appointment By-laws enacted by the former Township of Bayham, Village of
Port Burwell and Village of Vienna are hereby rescinded.
3. THAT this by-law shall come into force and take effect on January 1, 1998.
