BY-LAW 98-04
BEING A BY-LAW TO APPOINT A
MUNICIPAL AUDITOR
WHEREAS Section 86 (1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O., Chapter M.45, as amended
provides authority for municipalities to appoint a municipal auditor for a term not to
exceed five years.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham now
deems it necessary to appoint an Auditor for the fiscal year 1998.
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT effective January 1, 1998, John Scott, C.A.,Public Accounting Licence
No. 13462 of the firm Graham Scott Enns, Chartered Accountants is hereby
appointed as the Municipal Auditor for the Municipality of Bayham(formerly the
Township of Bayham, Village of Port Burwell and Village of Vienna) for the
fiscal year 1998.
2. THAT the appointment shall be reviewed annually and this By-law shall be
amended or repealed accordingly.
3. THAT all previous by-laws and amendments thereto enacted by the former
Township of Bayham,Village of Port Burwell and Village of Vienna in this
regard are hereby rescinded.
Read a first and second time this 5th day of January, 1998.
Read a third time and finally passed this 5th day of January, 1998.
