BY-LAW NO. 2021-026
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 2016-070
A BY-LAW TO PROHIBIT OR OTHERWISE REGULATE THE KEEPING OF CERTAIN ANIMALS
WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM
WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham on the 18th day of June, 2015 enacted By -Law
No. 2015-070, being a by-law to prohibit or otherwise regulate the keeping of certain animals within the
Municipality of Bayham;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham deems it necessary to amend By-law
2015-070;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT By-law No. 2015-070 to prohibit or otherwise regulate the keeping of certain animals within the
Municipality of Bayham be amended as follows:
2A No person shall keep, own, harbour, or permit to be kept, owned or
harboured any livestock within the Municipality of Bayham and
furthermore, livestock, including animals such as pets raised or housed
for recreational or hobby purposes, shall not be kept in identified areas in
accordance with the Municipality of Bayham Zoning By -Law No. Z456-
2003, as amended.
2.10.1 Any person who keeps, owns or harbours livestock under Section 2.10,
has the responsibility to properly control their livestock in order that the
livestock remains on their own property.
THAT in all other respects, By-law 2015-070 is hereby confirmed and remains unchanged;
AND THAT this by-law shall come into force and take effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 6th DAY OF MAY
2021.
