BY-LAW NO. 2015-051
A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM AND
PRODUCT CARE ASSOCIATION (PCA)
WHEREAS by letter received by Waste Diversion Ontario the Minister of the Environment for
the Province of Ontario required Waste Diversion Ontario to develop a waste diversion
program for municipal hazardous or special waste and that Stewardship Ontario act as the
Industry Funding Organization for the program;
WHEREAS Stewardship Ontario and the Municipality are parties to an agreement concerning
the provision of certain services by the Municipality to Stewardship Ontario concerning the
Phase 1 materials;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham is desirous of
entering into an agreement with Product Care Association (PCA)concerning the provision of
certain services by the Municipality of Bayham to Product Care Association(PCA)concerning
the Phase 1 material which is paints and coatings and the containers in which they are
contained as defined by the Industry Stewardship Plan for Paints and Coatings.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute an Agreement
between Product Care Association (PCA) and the Municipality of Bayham;
2. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 7th DAY OF
MAY 2015.
