BY-LAW NO. 2018-074
A BY-LAW TO REPEAL TOWNSHIP OF BAYHAM BY-LAW NO. 1914 AND NO. 2385
WHEREAS Township of Bayham By-Law No. 1914, being a by-law to authorize an
Agreement between the Corporation of the Township of Bayham and the Corporation of the
Township of Norfolk with respect to the maintenance and repair of a boundary road was
enacted March 7, 1976;
AND WHEREAS Township of Bayham By-Law No. 2385, being a by-law to authorize an
Agreement between the Corporation of the Township of Bayham and the Corporation of the
Township of Norfolk with respect to the maintenance and repair of a boundary road was
enacted January 7, 1988;
AND WHERAS By-Law No. 2011-083, being a by-law to authorize an Agreement between
the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham and the Corporation of the County of Norfolk
with respect to the maintenance and repair of a boundary road, was enacted October 6, 2011
and should have repealed the previous by-laws;
AND WHEREAS Section 8 of the Municipal Act, 2001, c.25 as amended provides that a
municipality has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person for the
purpose of exercising its authority under this or any Act;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it
necessary to repeal certain By-laws;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Township of Bayham By-Law No. 1914 and Township of Bayham By-Law No.
2385 and are hereby repealed;
2. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 21st DAY OF
JUNE 2018.
