A Bylaw to authorise a Project in %kirvance
and Commemoration of the Centennial.
WHEREAS the Confederation Centennial Act 1962/63

provides that Municipal Councils may ,cake expenditures for
or grants toward the observance or the commemoration of the
Centennial:
MD WHEREAS it is desirable to observe and commemorate
the Centennial by developing and equiping a Community Centre
Park and Playground.
NOW THLRi1;FORE the Council of the Municipal Corporation
of the Village of Port Burwell al ACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That in observance and comeimoration of the Centennial
the Corporation shall develpp and equip a Community Centre park
and Playground, at an estimated cost of Thirty -Six Hundred
Dollars ($3600.00).
2. That the Reeve and the Clerk be and they are hereby
authorised and directed to make applications pursuant to the
provisions of the regulations made under the Confederation
Centennial Act 1962/63 for a grant in aid of the project.
3. That the Municipal Contribution in the amount of
$1116.00 is included in the 1965 Budget Estimates.

Whereas provision is made for the establishment of a Community Centre in
Ontario under the Community Centres Act, 1961, and Whereas it is desired
to establish a Community Centre at Port Burwell, in the township of Bayham.
Therefore the Municipal Council of the Village of Port Burwell
enacts as follows:
That a Community Centre defined as an Athletic Field, under the Community
Centres Act 1961, and the regulations thereunder, and that the said
Community Centre be administered by the following Board, duly appointed
for the ensuing year.
