WHEREAS under The Highway Improvement Act a by-law to provide for expendi-
tures on roads or streets may be submitted annually to the Minister of Highways for
approval.
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the said Town/Village enacts as
follows:
(1) The sum of hereby estimated as the expenditure
upon the construction and maintenance of the roads and bridges under its jurisdiction
during the year 19. 3 as follows:

(4) The approval of the Ontario Municipal Board shall be obtained before any
expenditure is authorized or work commenced which will be financed by the issue of
debentures or monies raised in a subsequent year.

Hy-law 586 being a by-law for licencing trailers in the Village of
Vienna, except in a trailer camp, for 30 days or longerin any year ,
and for prohibiting such trailers being located in the Village of
Vienna, except in a trailer camp, without a licence therefor.
In this by-law "trailer" means any vehicle so constructed that it
is suitable for being attached to a motor vehicle for the purpose of
being drawn or propelled by a motor vehicle , and capable for being
used for the living, sleeping, or eating accomodation of persons
notwithstandingthat , such vehicle is jacked up or that its running
gear is removed.
Whereas paragraph 91B of section 388 of the Municipal Act 1958 provides
that Councils of t,!unicipalites may pass by-laws for licensing and
prohibiting trailers .
Ind whereas it is deemed necessary and expedient that such action
be taken .
Therefor be it enacted by the Municipal Council of the Village of
Vienna as follows :
1 No trailer shall be located in the Village of Vienna except in
a trailer Damp for thirty days or longer in any year without a
licence therefor.
2 Licence fees charged for trailers in the Village of Vienna shall
be set forth in schedule " A " attached hereto, and shall be payable
in advance on the first 'lay of each month , except for the first
thirty days.
3 This by-law shall not apply to a trailer located in the Village
of Vienna for purpose of sale or storage only .

every person who contravenes any part of the by-law shall be guilty
of an offence , and liable for a penalty of not less than '10.00 and
not more than $50.00 exclusive of costs , and each day that a person
contravenes the by-law shall be deemed to constitute a separate
offence.

WHEREAS under The Highway Improvement Act a by-law to provide for esc-
penditures on roads or streets may be submitted annually to the Minister of High-
ways for approval.
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the said Town/Villoge enacts
as follows:
(1) The sum of $ 3 .O.Q O is hereby estimated as the expenditure
upon the construction and maintenance of the roads and bridges under its jurisdic-
tion during the year 19 as follows:

(4) The approval of the Ontario Municipal Board shall be obtained before any
expenditure is authorized or work commenced which will be financed by the issue
of debentures or monies raised in a subsequent year.

A BY—LAW f(B LICENSING AND REQUIRING THE REGISTRATION OF DOGS
Be it hereby enacted by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the
Village of Vienna
1. The owner, harbourer, or possessor of any dog within the said munici—
pality shall procure from the Corporation a tag for same and shall pay an annual
license fee of Two Dollars for a dog, if only one, and Four Dollars for each
additional dog, and Four Dollars for a female dog, if only one, and Six Dollars
for each additional fekiale dog owned, harboured or possessed by him.
"' 2. The License Fee Collector shall collect the dog license fee and give
the owner, harbourer or possessor a tag for each dog on payment of the fee. ' a
3. It shall be the duty of the Clerk to procure and deliver to the
License Fee Collector

4. Each tag shall bear a serial number and the year in which it was issued
and a record shall be kept by the Clerk showing the name and address of the
owner and the serial number of the tag as furnished by the License Fee Collector
appointed by the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Vienna.
5. All license tags under this Hy—Law shall be procured on or before
and shall expire on the 31st day of December in
each year.
6. Every person procuring a tag shall keep it fixed on the dog for wkich
it was procured at all times during the year and until he procures a tag for the
following year; excepting that the tag may be removed while the dog is being
lawfully used for hunting deer in the bush.
7. Upon production of his registration, the owner of a kennel of pure
bred dogs registered in the Register of the Canadian Kennel Club, Incorporated,
shall pay an annual tax of TEN DOLLARS to the CLERK—TREASURER of the municipal—
ity, for which he will he issued a certificate a v a tax upon the kennel and he
shall not be liable to pay any further tax in respect of such pure bred dogs.

Insert after Psragraph 1: Where the cert_ficate of a veterinary surgeon or other
bona fide proof is produced showing that a female has been spayed, it shall be
taxed at the same rate as a malt dog.

(a) "Dog" means July dog, male or female and the definition includiea dogs
of any age. J
(b) "Harbourer or possessor" means a person, who habitually keeps a dog
upon his premises although such dog is owned by some other person. Pli

8. Every owner of a dog who neglects to obtain a tag and keep it securely
fixed on his dog or who uses a tag upon a dog other than that for which it was
issued shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Ten Dollars.
9. Every dog which is found off the premises upon which it is habitually
kept, without a tag and not under the control of any persor., may be killed.
1O. All by-laws or parts of by-laws conflicting with this by-law are here-
by repealed.
11. This by-law shall come into force and have effect from and after the
