The Head and the Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of the Municipality to borrow from time to time by way of promissory note from Tan CwNAnux BANE: OF Co10[Hacz a sum or sums not exceeding in the aggregate $4,000• • to meet until the taxes are collected the current expenditures of the Municipality • for the year,including the amounts required for the purposes mentioned in subsection (1) of section 339 of the Municipal Act, and to give on behalf of the Municipality • to the Bank a promissory note or notes sealed with the Corporate Seal and signed by the Head and Treasurer for the moneys so borrowed, with interest,which may be P. paid in advance or otherwise,at a rate not exceeding 41 per centum per annum. • 2. All sums borrowed pursuant to the authority of this by-law,as well as all other sums borrowed in this year and in previous years from the said Bank for any or all of the purposes mentioned in the said section 339, shall, with interest thereon, be a charge upon the whole of the revenues of the Municipality for the current year and for all preceding years as and when such revenues are received. • 3. The Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to apply in payment of all sums borrowed as aforesaid, together with interest thereon, all of the moneys hereafter collected or received either on account or realized in respect of taxes levied for the current year and preceding years or from any other source which may lawfully be applied for such purpose. TBE CORPORATION 0P THE GE OF VIENNA. A By-law releasing any claim to lands west of Lot Eleven south of Front Street. WHEREAS Charles E. Beattie and Edna Ruth Beattie claim to be the owners of Lots One, Two and Eleven south of Front Street and Lot Nine east of Lumber Street, Plan 54, Vienna, and also the alley way having a width of twenty-five links more or less running from Front Street to Big Otter Creek along the west side of said Lot Eleven and the east side of said Lots One, Two and Nine. AND WHEREAS they and their predecessors in title have had possession of the said alley way as shown on Plan 54 of the Village of Vienna for over fifty years. THEREFORE IT IS ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Village of Vienna, as follows:- 1. The Village of Vienna acknowledges that it has no ownership or title to the said alley way and that it no longer forms a public street in the said Village. 2. The Reeve and Clerk of the Village of Vienna are hereby directed to execute a quitclaim deed from the Village of Vienna to the said Charles E. Beattie and Edna Ruth Beattie. The said lands are more fully described as follows:- ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being in the Village of Vienna, in the County of Elgin in the Province of Ontario being composed of part of Lot Number Fourteen in the Third Concession of the Township of Bayham as subdivided by Plan Number 54 of the Village of Vienna and may be better known and described as an alley way lying south of Front Street between Village Lots Numbers One, Two and Nine and Village Lot Number Eleven, said Plan 54, the said alley way leading from said Front Street southerly to Big Otter Creek, and more particularly described as follows:- COMMENCING at the north east angle of the said Lot Number One on the south side of Front Street; thence north easterly along the southerly limit of Front Street -2- produced twenty-five links more or less to the north west angle of said Lot Number Eleven on the southerly side of Front Street; thence south easterly along the westerly limit of the said Lot to the Big Otter Creek; thence south westerly along the north westerly bank of the Big Otter Creek to the south east angle of said Lot Number Nine east of Lumber Street; thence northerly along the easterly limits of said Lots Numbers Nine, Two and One to the place of beginning.
