Steamboat Connection.Ashtabula,Ohio A PUBLIC MEETING of the Ratepayers of the Village of Port Burwell yoas lito the Police Hall on the above date for the purpose of co i 1the proposition of the aim. Stone Sons Ltd of Ingersoll, o erect a mixing plant in Port Burwell for the purpose of mixing and distributing fertilizer. A. J. Bodsworth was elected Chairman of the meeting and E.C.Spragge, Secretary. Mr R. Stone was then introduced and he explained in detail the proposed building and its operation, and dealt with possible objections. He answered questions regarding size of the proposed plant, chemicals to be used and location. Moved by R. Meyers and seconded by R.Kirxby, that the Trustees be empowered to rescind Bylaw No 2 , carried at a previous meeting. Carried unanimously. Moved by E. C. Sprague and seconded by R. Meyers that this meeting of Ratepayers approve of the proposition of the Vim. Stone Sons Ltd, under the supervision of the Board of Health of the Township of Bayham, Elgin County, including the request for a fixed assessment of X2 ,000.00 for ten years for ...unicipal purposes , it being understood that taxes imposed for educational purposes (namely School faxes) shall be paid on a fair assessment of the property.
