BY-LAW NO. 2016-105
A BY-LAW TO ADOPT A BAYHAM BENCH PROGRAM AND BAYHAM BENCH
PROGRAM SPONSORSHIP POLICY
WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham recognizes
the need for a clear and concise policy concerning the Bayham Bench Program and
Bayham Bench Program Sponsorship Policy;
AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it
advisable that the Policy on Bayham Bench Program and Bayham Bench Program
Sponsorship be confirmed and adopted by By-law;
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT effective upon passage the Policy on Bayham Bench Program and
Bayham Bench Program Sponsorship attached hereto as Schedule "A" and
forming part of this by-law is hereby adopted as the policies and procedures for
the management of Bayham Bench Sponsorship for the Municipality of Bayham;
2. THAT this Bayham Bench Program and Bayham Bench Program Sponsorship
Policy By-law may be amended from time to time as directed and deemed
necessary by The Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham;
3. THAT any Bench Program and Bench Program Sponsorship policies previously
adopted are hereby repealed;
4. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME and finally passed this 15th day of
December 2016.

BAYHAM BENCH PROGRAM
Section 1 - Purpose
1.1 The Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham is desirous of instituting a
Bayham Bench Program to install benches in various locations within the Municipality.
Section 2 - Procedure
2.1 The Bayham Bench Program will be coordinated by the Harbourfront Committee and staff.
2.2 The Bayham Bench Program will be executed as follows:
i. The Metal Fabricator, Mr. John Knelsen will build the metal and wood benches;
ii. CQM Ltd. will provide plaques for the benches;
a. the Plaques will be limited to 50 characters including spaces.
iii. The Public Works Department will approve location for benches, pick up and install the
benches ;
iv. The Bayham Bench Program Sponsorship cost will be $300.00 per bench;
2.3 All Benches within the Bayham Bench Program and the previous East Pier Bench Program are
the property of the Municipality of Bayham and may be relocated or replaced at the discretion of
the Municipality.
i. The Municipality will maintain the Bench Plaque for a period of ten (10) years.
2.4 Appendix 'A', attached hereto,-shall-be-the-binding-Bayham Bench Program Sponsorship
Agreement.

Bench Sponsorship Agreement Form
The Municipality of Bayham agrees to affix a plaque in the name of:
Individual/Company/Organization
Address
On a wood/steel bench for Public use within Municipal owned lands located within the
Municipality of Bayham:
Site Location
The plaque in question will be of the type & size as described in the attached diagram.

AGREEMENT DETAILS
The MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM will be responsible for the affixed placing of the Bench/Plaque within the
described Site Location, upon approval of the designated municipal official.
The SPONSOR agrees to donate$300.00(Three Hundred)dollars for the exclusive sponsorship of the bench
and inscribed plaque. Payment to be made to the Municipality of Bayham.
