By -Law Numberof the 'Municipal Corporation of the
Township of Bayham.
A By-law for levying and collecting an annual tax to
be known as Poll Tax.
The Municipal Corporation of the Township of 3ayham
enacts as follows:
In each year commencing with the year 1932, there shall
he levied and collected at the same time and in the same manner
as the general tax of the municipality an annual tax known as
Poll Tax of from each male inhabitant of the 'Lluni c ip-
ality who is twenty-one years or over and under sixty years of age.
The following shall be exempted from this tax:
(a)
Any
person
who is
exempt from
performing Statute
labor,
(b)
Any
person
otherwise
assessed
in the idunicipality
except
where any person is assessed and his taxes are less than the amount
of Poll Tax, he shall be lia ule to pay the Poll Tax only, and
(c) Any person who has filed with the Clerk a certificate
showing that he rias been assessed or performed Statute Labor or
paid Poll Tax elsewhere in Ontario.
Provided that any provision in any By -lax of the Munic-
ipality contrary to the provisions of this By-law is hereby
repealed insofar only as to give full force and effect to this
By-law.

A► By-law for levying the Annual Rate of the Township of Bayham
for the Year A.D.1932, and for appointing a collector or collectors
to collect the same.
Therefore it is necessary and expedient to provide for the levying
and collecting the Annual rate to -meet the necessary expenditures of
the Municipality of Bayham for the year A? D? 1932 .
Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the Municip
r
ality of Bayham in regular session assembled, that there shall be
levied upon all the rateable property assessed in the Municipality of
Bayham for the year A.D.1932.
For County purposes
For Schools
For Township

and be it further enacted that the collector or collectors of the
Municipality be and they are aurtherized to collect the further addit
ional sums of money for schools purposes, that shall be levied upon
all the rateable property assessed in the several school sections for
which said sums may be placed upon the collectors roll, and all Oher
rates, for the year A.D.1932.
And be it further enacted that

Ad be it farther enacted that the Clerk be and he is hereby
required to make the necessary Collectors rolls for the year A.D.193a.
And that the rate of SEVEN Mille on the Dollar be levied upon all
the rateable property appaering upon the assessment rolls for 1932,
And that the Clark shall make the necessary divisions of the said

And that after the 15th day of December a penalty of ONE CENT per
month or fraction of a month shall be charged on all unpaid taxes.
And that the collector to have the privelege of mailing the tax
notices to the several tax payers.

By Law No
Being a By-law to provide for the holding of the Municipal
Elections in the Municipality of Bayham for the year A.D. 1938
and for appointing Deputy returning Officers, P414 Clerks as well
as Polling places in the several sub -divisions in the said Munici
pality of Bayham.
Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the '.Tunici
pality of Bayham in regular session assembled.
(1) That the election for sub -division No 1 of the Municipality
shall be held at the -eolice, -Hall in the Village of Port Burwelland
shall be Deputy Returning Officer and
., shall be Poll clerk for said Division.
(2) That the election for sub -division No 2 shall be held at
or near the old Toll gate in the said sub -division and that
. shall be Deputy returning officer and
shall be Poll clerk for said division.
(3) That the election for Sub -division No 3 shall be held at
or near the Smucks School house in said Division and

(4) That the election for Sud -division No 4 shall be held at the
Town Hall in the said Division and that
