To regulate the runningat large of dogs
in the Mtn i s ipal i ty of Bayham
And whereas by The DogTax and Sheep Protection Amendment
Act of1920 it is provided that after the first day of April 1921
In Towns Townships and villages , every owner of a dog shall procure
from the Corporation a tag for each dog owned by him,and shall keep
such tag securely affixedon the dog at all times"
Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Councilof the
Corporation of the Township of Bayham in regular session assembled
(1) That the assessor for the said Township be and is hereby
required to comply with the provisions of The Dog Tax and Sheep
Protection Act in reference tothe assessment of dogs,and to deliver
to every person assessed a numbered tag for eachDog,Bitch, or spayed
Bitch by him owned.
(2) That the number of the tags so delivered shall be entered on a
statement delivered to the assessdrof the number of dogs owned by
the persons assessed,said ststementto be returned to the Clerk with
the assessment roll.
(3) That it shall be -the duty of the Clerk to proeureKx& and
deliver to the assessor,suitable dog tags as required by him and to
keep a record showing the serial number of the tag and the owner
to whom it has been issued.
(4) That the owner of adog recieving a tag from the assessor shall
keep such tag securaly on the dog at all times,
(5) That after the assessor has returned his roll it shall be the
duty of the Clerk to supply tags to the owners of dogs and to charge
a fee of -------cents for each tag.

Being a By -Law to abolish the Statue Labor Sjrstem
in the Township of Bayham.
Whereas under the Regulation of the Ontorio High
way Act of 1940 it is desirable to make a change in the
manner of keeping the Highways in a proper state of
repair in the Township of Bayham.
And whweeas the -Council has appointed
overseer, and in order to recieve the Goverment Subsidity
under the Act it is necessary that the Statue Labor System
be abolished.
Therefore the Municipal Council of the Corporation of
the Municipality of Bayham enacts as follows.
That all work done heretofore under the old system of
appointing Overseers of highways under the Statue Labor
System be and khe same is herebyAbolished and that a rate
on the Dollar on the whole assessement of the Township
be levied and applied for construction and maintance of
all Roads in said Municipality.
That all:' By -Laws relating in any way to Statue Labor
be and the same are hereby repealed.
