BY-LAW 2014-012
BEING A BY-LAW TO FURTHER AMEND BY-LAW 2012-022
IMPOSING RATES AND FEES
WHEREAS the Municipal Act S.O. 2001, Chap. M. 25 as amended provides that the Council
of a local Municipality may by by-law, impose specific rates and fees to be charged for
municipal services.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham did by By-
law 2012-022 adopt a schedule of rates and fees for municipal services;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham did by By-
law 2012-094 amend such By-law;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham now deems it expedient to
further amend By-law 2012-022 to set discretional damage deposit fees for Vienna
Community Centre rentals and make changes to the current fee structure for the Vienna and
Bayham Community Centres;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it
necessary to approve such amendments by By-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the following fee be deleted: Bayham Community Centre Upper Hall
rental rate at$65;
2. THAT a damage deposit (refundable less applicable damages, if any), be
implemented for any partial use of the Bayham or Vienna Community Centre,
on any day of the week, based on 50% of the rental fee for the respective area;
3. THAT the current damage deposit of $320 (refundable less applicable
damages, if any) for use of either entire facility,with or without the kitchen,be
extended to any day of the week;
4. THAT the hall Manager and/or municipal staff be authorized to use her/his
discretion in charging the damage deposit (refundable less applicable
damages, if any), for either partial rentals or use of the entire facility, with or
without the kitchen, between Sunday and Thursday.
5. AND THAT in all other respects By-law 2012-022, as amended, be hereby confirmed.
READ FIRST,SECOND, AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED this 6t 1 day of
FEBRUARY 2014.
