HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law No. 2012-124 THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW NO. 2012 - 124 A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE ERECTION OF STOP SIGNS AT INTERSECTIONS WHEREAS Section 137 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990 Chapter H.8 permits municipalities to pass by-laws to provide for the erection of stop signs at intersections on highways under its jurisdiction; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham has identified locations within its jurisdiction where the erection of stop signs are deemed necessary; THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT stop signs shall be erected at the locations described below: Intersection Stop Sign Erected On Direction of Travel Peters Court at Peters Court (Southeast corner) Northbound Eden Line(County Road 44) MacNeil Court at MacNeil Court(Northeast corner) Westbound Elizabeth Street 2. THAT the penalties provided in Section 214 of the Highway Traffic Act shall apply to offences against this by-law. 3. THAT each designation made by Section 1 shall not become effective until stop signs have been physically erected in accordance with the regulations of the Highway Traffic Act.
