THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW 2009-081 A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF A WASTE DISPOSAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF TORONTO,COUNTY OF ELGIN,AND ELGIN COUNTY AREA MUNICIPALITIES WHEREAS Section 11 of the Municipal Act,2001, S.O. 2001,c. 25 as amended provides in part that a lower tier municipality may pass by-laws respecting Waste Management; AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the City of Toronto is the owner of the Green Lane Landfill site located in Southwold Township in EIgin County; AND WHEREAS Elgin area municipalities desire a waste disposal agreement for waste disposal capacity at the Green Lane Landfill Site, and a standard agreement has been negotiated with the City of Toronto; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it necessary and expedient to execute the standard Waste Disposal Agreement with the City of Toronto, County of Elgin, Town of Aylmer, Township of Malahide, Municipality of Central Elgin,Municipality of Dutton/Dunwich,and Municipality of West Elgin; NOW THEREFORE THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute the Waste Disposal Agreement attached hereto as Schedule "A" and forming part of this by- law between The City of Toronto, The County of Elgin, The Town of Aylmer, The Township of Malahide, The Municipality of Bayham, The Municipality of Central Elgin, The Municipality of Dutton-Dunwich, and The Municipality of West Elgin. 2. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
