BY-LAW 2006-067
A BY-LAW TO APPOINT STAFF TO PERFORM DUTIES
UNDER THE ONTARIO BUILDING CODE ACT
WHEREAS Section 3(2) of the Building Code Act, S.O. 1992, c.23, as amended,provides
that the council of each municipality shall appoint a chief building official and such
inspectors as are necessary for the enforcement of this Act in the areas in which the
municipality has jurisdiction.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it
necessary and expedient to appoint staff to perform the duties of Chief Building Official and
Inspectors under the Building Code Act.
NOW THEREFORE THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
BAYHAM HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Mr. William Knifton be and is hereby appointed the Chief Building
Official for the Municipality of Bayham, to perform duties under the Building
Code Act and Regulations thereunder, commencing July 17th 2006, and until
such appointment is repealed.
2. THAT Mr. Daniel Dale be and is hereby appointed the Acting Chief Building
Official for the Municipality of Bayham, to perform duties under the Building
Code Act and Regulations thereunder in the absence of the Chief Building
Official, commencing July 17th, 2006, and until such appointment is repealed.
3. THAT Mr. Al Shaw be and is hereby appointed an Inspector for the Municipality
of Bayham, to perform duties under the Building Code Act and Regulations
thereunder, commencing July 17th, 2006, and until such appointment is repealed.
4. THAT Mr. Eugenio DiMeo be and is hereby appointed Inspector for the
Municipality of Bayham, to perform duties under the Building Code Act and
Regulations thereunder, commencing July 17th, 2006, and until such appointment
is repealed.
5. THAT Mr. Brad Smale be and is hereby appointed Inspector for the Municipality
of Bayham, to perform duties under the Building Code Act and Regulations
thereunder, commencing July 17th, 2006, and until such appointment is repealed.
6. THAT appointments of staff perform duties under the Building Code Act as
approved by By-law No. 2005-140 and By-law No. 2006-052, be the same are
hereby repealed effective July 17th, 2006.
7. AND THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon final passing.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS
