(e) Councillor Ketchabaw requested discussion regarding dust and use of motorized vehicles
on the utility corridor.
It was noted that brine had been spread to reduce dust concerns.
Councilor Casier noted that he has seen an increase in traffic over the last 6— 12 months.
He added that the lateral fencing was removed for installation of the wind energy
transmission lines and questioned whether all the fence removed had been re-installed.
Deputy Mayor Evanitski noted that the Municipality had indicated interest in making
portions of the trail in the village areas into streets and questioned the status with the
Town of Tillsonburg.
Administrator Kruger noted that the lateral fencing was to have been re-installed and
advised that staff would check into. He added that access to the transmission lines must
be maintained. Additionally, the creation of streets was to have been discussed by the
Joint Board, however, the meeting scheduled had been cancelled and the matter was to go
directly to Tillsonburg Council. He was unaware whether there had been any decision at
this point. He noted that the OPP does not have their own equipment to patrol the
corridor making effective enforcement difficult.
Deputy Mayor Evanitski commented that an OPP enforcement blitz had been encouraged
at the Police Services Board.
