6:00 p.m.
A special budget meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Bayham was held in the
Committee Room. Present were Mayor Lynn Acre,Deputy Mayor Matt Schafer Councillors
Mark Taylor, Paul Ens and Cliff Evanitski, Administrator Kyle Kruger, Clerk Lynda Millard and
Treasurer Suzanna Mantel. The Clerk vacated the Committee Room during the In Camera
Session.
Jean Woon was in attendance to present the Edison Museum budget. Mrs.Woon encouraged
Council to support the request to transfer 2005 excess operating funds to the building reserve
fund and the establishment of the Edison website through budget approval.
Planning Co-ordinator Margaret Underhill, Chief Building Official &Drainage Superintendent
Dwayne Daniel, Water/Wastewater Superintendent Ed Roloson and Public Works
Superintendent Bob Bartlett were in attendance to present their respective operating and capital
budgets.

3. 2006 DRAFT BUDGET
(a) Staff Report F2006-04 and attached 2006 draft budget was presented by the Treasurer.
File: F05.05
The Treasurer advised that the total assessment for the municipality increased by
$38,525,100. She added that this incorporates both real growth (new assessment)and
market value increases. Using the 2005 tax rates, 2006 assessment will raise an
additional$215,582.51.

4. COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

"THAT the Council do now rise to enter into an "In Camera" Session of Committee
of the Whole to discuss personal matters about an identifiable individual, including
municipal or local board employees."

5. BY-LAW
By-law 2006 - 014 A By-law to confirm all actions of Council
2006-090 Moved by M Schafer
Seconded by C Evanitski
"THAT confirming By-law 2006-014 be read a first, second and third time and
finally passed."
Disposition: Motion Carried Unanimously
6. ADJOURNMENT
