BY-LAW NO. 2001-78
A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE ACCEPTANCE OF REAL
PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS PART 3 ON REFERENCE
PLAN 11R-7442, FOR FUTURE ROAD PURPOSES
(MCQUIGGAN LINE)
WHEREAS Section 191 (1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990 Chapter M.45 as amended
authorizes municipalities to pass by-laws for acquiring or expropriating any land required for the
purposes of the corporation, and for erecting and repairing buildings thereon, and for making
additions to or alterations of such buildings, and may sell or otherwise dispose of the same when no
longer required;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham is desirous of formally documenting
the given road known as McQuiggan Line, identified as Part 1 on Plan 11R-7442, as part of the
open and travelled road system of the Municipality of Bayham, and of acquiring additional lands
identified as Part 3 on Plan 11R-7442 for future road purposes;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham deems it necessary and expedient to
accept the transfer of lands identified as Part 3 on Plan 11R-7442 for future road purposes;
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICPALITY OF
BAYHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Transfer/Deed of Land affixed hereto and forming part of this by-law,being a
transfer from Douglas Dennis, Carolyn Dennis, Christine Dennis,and Sean Grantham,for
lands described as Part of Lot 4,Concession 3 in the Municipality of Bayham, (formerly
geographic Township of Bayham),in the County of Elgin,more particularly described as
Part 3 on Reference Plan 11R-7442,be and same is herby accepted,and the Solicitor be
authorized and directed to register the subject Transfer at the Land Registry Office for the
Registry Division of Elgin, (No. 11).
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME this 20th day of September,2001.
READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED this 20th day of September,2001.
