HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law No. 2026-019 THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM BY-LAW NO. 2026-019 BEING A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE OFFICIAL PLAN FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM WHEREAS Subsection 17(22) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P. 13, as amended, states that when the requirements of Subsections 17(15) to (21), as appropriate, have been met, and a council is satisfied that an official plan is suitable for adoption, that council may by by-law adopt all or part of the said plan, and submit it for approval to the County of Elgin; AND WHEREAS the Municipality of Bayham has prepared a new official plan to replace the existing Municipality of Bayham Official Plan that is currently in effect; AND WHEREAS Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham considers it desirable and in the interest of the Municipality to adopt a new official plan for the Municipality of Bayham; AND WHEREAS all statutory requirements for the preparation and adoption of an official plan have been met; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham enacts as follows: 1 THAT the document attached hereto as Schedule `A' to this By-law is hereby adopted as the Official Plan for the Municipality of Bayham. THAT the Clerk of the Municipality of Bayham is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of the adoption of the Official Plan for the Municipality of Bayham in accordance with Subsection 17(23) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P. 13. THAT the Clerk of the Municipality of Bayham is hereby authorized and directed to forward the Official Plan for the Municipality of Bayham, and the associated statutory record, to the County of Elgin for approval in accordance with Subsection 17(31) of Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P. 13. 4i THAT the existing Official Plan for the Municipality of Bayham and all amendments thereto are hereby repealed. 5) THAT this by-law shall come into force and effect pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act.
