Council Highlights
Consent Application E6-26
Council recommended approval with conditions for the above noted consent
application submitted by VanQuaethem Farms Ltd. at 7923 Coyle Road.
Tarion Builders
Correspondence was received requesting Council to implement a system to mitigate
unlicensed Tarion builders that are abusing this function. Council requested staff to
report back with further information.
2026 Insurance Renewal
The Municipality of Bayham holds its general insurance with Marsh Canada Limited.
Marsh engaged staff for the 2026 renewal with a noted 5 percent increase from 2025.
Council discussed increasing the cyber insurance coverage from 2 million to 3 million
for an additional $2,995. Council provided direction to increase this coverage which
totals the renewal to be $233,720, an overall increase of 6.4 percent from 2025.
By-laws
A handful of By-laws were presented for adoption including the contract with OCWA,
Planning Services with the County of Elgin, and updates Rates and Fees for 2026.
