Award of RFP 25-03 2026-2028 Concession Food Booth Port Burwell Municipal
Beach
Proposals were accepted for concession booth operators to be located at the Port
Burwell Municipal Beach. Simply Scoops was awarded the contract for 2026 -2028.
2025-2026 Winter Operations Plan – Level of Service
The Winter Operations Plan is presented annually for any updates to be captured to
stay compliant with the Minim um Maintenance Standards. Only a few minor changes
were presented for the upcoming season. Council approved the Winter Operations
Plan.
Grewal Drain Extension Award
Construction of the Grewal Drain Extension is required and Spriets Associates
circulated a request for quotations and received two (2) submissions. Council
awarded the works to PBR Excavating Inc. in the amount of $25,159.49 +HST.
Quarterly Reports
3rd quarter reports were presented for Drainage, Building and Treasury. As part of the
Treasury report, Council provided direction for staff to present a 2026 preliminary
budget levy increase of 1.9%.
Declaring Lands as Part of the Open Public Highway System
A small portion of Coyle Road is required to be transferred to the Municipality due to
a recent approved consent application. A by-law was adopted later in the meeting to
formally declare the lands as part of the Open Public Highway System.
Countryside Communities Draft Plan of Subdivision Application
An application for a draft plan of subdivision was received for lands in Vienna on the
north side of Chestnut Street. The application proposes to divide t he subject parcel of
land into four (4) semi-detached residential lots for eight (8) dwelling units, and eight
(8) single detached residential lots with one new internal street. Council support ed
the application noting a number of conditions to be provided to the County of Elgin for
approval.
