Council Highlights
Development Reports
Council received two staff reports regarding consent applications. Both applications,
E31-23 and E33-23, were recommended support to the Elgin County Land Division
Committee with recommended conditions.
Bayham Beachfest
The Bayham Beachfest Committee requested various forms of Municipal Assistance
to host Beachfest in Port Burwell on the August long weekend. Council approved use
of materials, lands, road closures, and funds for the Committee to host their event.
Committee Recommendations
Council received draft minutes from Committee Meetings held in May and considered
specific recommendations to Council.
The Waterfront Advisory Committee had two recommendations for Council to
consider and Council resolved for staff to report back with information on the benefits
and costs associated with the annual Blue Flag application and accessibility
alternatives at the East Beach.
The Joint Cemetery Board had one recommendation to Council and Counc il resolved
to support the recommendation to reallocate Care and Maintenance Fund
investments.
