SCC Expansion Detailed Costing and Timeline Update
Council received a Report on the Straffordville Community Centre, including detailed
scope and costing. The costing provided a breakdown of the project’s estimated
$2.9m costs, and presented an option to reduce costs to $2.33m. The original ICIP
grant amount is $2.003m.
After lengthy discussion by Council, and responses by the CAO regarding the project,
cost over-runs, and how the over-runs could be addressed over multiple budget
years, Council referred the costing back to staff to further reduce the scope and
associated costs and present revisions to Council in Q2 2023.
