d) Insurance Concerns: Members are concerned that we don't have enough
insurance coverage to replace the lighthouse. It was suggested that checking

insurance purposes. Motion Carried.
7.STUDENT REPORTS: Written reports as submitted by the students were
distributed. During the month of May there were 284 visitors to the

"Pole Star" initiative and is a member of Periscope Playhouse. He is
community-minded and once he read the original "Bayham Culture Plan" he
made some revisions, which have been shared with the community for
enactment. It was decided to invite Mr. Tone to attend a future meeting to
discuss possible partnerships for improvements to the community.
b) Rezoning of Port Burwell Fire hall: There was a brief discussion
regarding the historical significance of all four corners of the intersection
where the former fire hall is situated.
c) No Parking Signs: There have been problems lately with people parking
in the Marine Museum parking lot, right up close to the door, who are not

IN CAMERA SESSION
It was moved by R.Maddox and seconded by C.Buchanan that we do rise to
enter into an In-camera session to discuss a potential property issue. Motion
Carried.
(a) Request for discussion of a potential acquisition of property.
Susan Start reported that there is a 5.16 acre parcel of land for sale in
Vienna at the bottom of the hill by the old Edison cemetery. It has recently
been reduced in price from $115,000 to $99,000 so it appears that the
owner/realtor (Vane Chute) is eager to sell. Susan's investigation found that
this property was once owned by the Edison family. She proposes that this
property would be a more suitable site for the future Edison Museum than
the existing site at the top of the hill on Plank Road because of its close
proximity to the Edison cemetery and the Edison Homestead plaque and its
visibility from Plank Road It was suggested that perhaps Vane Chute would
trade properties if the values are similar. It was agreed that it was worth a
discussion with Vane Chute. It was agreed that this issue falls under the
jurisdiction of the New Edison Museum Building Committee and should be
left to them to pursue.
It was moved by L.Acre and seconded by B.Masschaele that we do rise out
of the in-camera session. Motion Carried.
