Nimrod Schooner's anchor (1800s), which was replaced, has been returned
and members will give some thought as to its future. Display it?

B) Replacement of Flags: It was noted that flags at both museums need
replacing. B.Hickey will ask Joe Preston's office for 3 Canadian flags.
He will ask M. Underhill, Deputy-Clerk if the municipality can order 1
American flag and 1 Union Jack.
C) Request from Randy Breyer: The owner of Bayham's Family Table, a
restaurant in Vienna, wants to display a picture of the original Edison
homestead in the restaurant. He asked if he could scan our copy.
Members questioned the safety of scanning old photos as the light may
cause damage. It was decided to seek advice from archivist Brian
Masschaele and also ask if the Elgin Archives have a digital copy of the
Edison Homestead that might be printed off. If not, S.Start suggested
that taking a photograph of the original photo, while still in the frame,
should produce fair results without threatening the original.
D) Disposal of fluorescent light tubes: Some time ago, Hydro One
removed all of the protective plastic covers on the lights when they
replaced all the fluorescent lights in the Marine Museum. Members
questioned whether or not protective covers are now needed and also
how to dispose of the 8 foot fluorescent replacement bulbs we have in
