c) Lighthouse windows: R.Bradfield obtained 2 quotes to replace all 8
windows. Royal Glass & Mirror quoted $4,000 (tax included) and
F.M.Windows quoted $1,600 (tax included) which is their cost
because they want the publicity. Aiden Windows in London quoted
$8,800 with no insulation. Barry Wade recommends that we alter the
windows to eliminate the slope so water drains off sill. However with
new vinyl sash and really tight seal, water should not leak into the sill.
It was moved by B.Masschaele and seconded by R.Maddox that
pending confirmation of the warranty that we accept the quote from
F.M Windows of$1,600 for 8 white vinyl low profile energy star &
CSA certified thermal insulated windows installed to the original
studs and white aluminum flashing. Motion Carried. It was noted that
there is sufficient funds within the 2012 budget to pay for this
purchase. Once confirmation of warranty has been obtained,
R.Bradfield will give Shawn the "go ahead".
